Vice President, Marketing
I am currently working with a Global Medical Communications agency who are looking to strengthen their team, currently looking to recruit a remote a Vice President, Marketing.
This Agency is a privately owned global medical communications company in the world. Built on a reputation of scientific excellence and quality, they are a global leader in delivering world-class, innovative Publications and Medical Affairs services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
The VP, Marketing is accountable for the development and implementation of marketing strategies that support Brand. The Brand works with biopharma and device companies to help them solve challenges related to the dissemination of scientific evidence. This role requires a deep understanding of the medical affairs space within Life Sciences as well as the ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively with peers from different teams within the organization. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, driven by challenges, loves working in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading a team and not afraid to get their hands dirty.
Specifically, this role entails the following:
*Partner with leaders of the business to translate business objectives and market opportunities into a marketing strategy that differentiates the service positioning and achieves revenue growth targets.
*Create and implement a detailed marketing communications plan that delivers key positioning messaging via both inbound and outbound marketing channels, account-based marketing and direct sales efforts via the sales team. Position the company as the preferred partner for our biopharma and device clients.
*Collaborate with the internal and external subject matter experts and thought leadership and digital marketing function to articulate and communicate value propositions through effective messaging and content.
*Monitor and communicate the results and ROI of marketing efforts. Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns involving digital, events, and content to drive demand generation & new client acquisition with the support of agencies & a high performing team
*Manage the inside sales team.
*Educate sales, product management and marketing teams about competitor insights and product offerings.
*Conduct periodic competitor analysis and assess potential impact to the business. Refine service differentiation while considering competitive shifts in the market.
*Work closely with the sales organization and managers to successfully identify business opportunities, support tools, new marketing tactics, and implementation in a timely manner.
Desired skills, qualities & experience:
*Extensive experience in B2B marketing; specifically previous experience marketing for an organization providing services to pharma companies or experience working in an agency or CRO; understanding of the life science and medical affairs landscape is highly desirable.
*Experience in driving marketing strategy and executing integrated marketing campaigns through a team or agencies.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong ability to work collaboratively across business functions.
*Ability to use data and analytics to identify opportunities and drive decision making as well as evaluating the effectiveness of campaigns and programs.
*Strong knowledge and experience of marketing communication mix, go to market strategy, messaging, brand positioning, content strategy and marketing.
*Ability to manage ambiguity and the ability to work with minimal direction.
*Willingness to continuously learn and grow and adapt to rapidly changing business landscape.
*Excellent writing, communication, and presentation development and delivery skills.
