Editorial Jobs

Editorial teams are responsble for writing, editing and proofreading conent. They need to ensure accurate and percise written copy. This involves publication planning and content, liaising with designers and clients to generate an approved design for publications. 

Medical Editors work closely with medical writers to ensure the content is clear and precise. Job roles within the editorial department consist of medical writers, editors, and directors.

You will also work in conjunction with other internal teams to write, develop and produce new business proposals and attend client briefings when necessary.

Editorial Managers or Directors in medical communications agencies are usually more senior, and have experience in medical writing as well as proofing and editing copy for publication. At senior level, you would provide strategic support for the product or account.

Editorial Salaries

Starting salaries in editorial range from $80,000 for an entry level editorial assistant, to $120,000 - $130,000 and beyond for a Managing Editor. Each company structures their salary and benefits differently and some of the perks are fantastic!
